The APC Aga/Ijomu ward meeting took place presided over by APC Chairman ward E

The APC Aga/Ijomu ward meeting took place, presided over by Chairman Mr. Adebayo Abiodun and Secretary Mrs. Latifat Egbetokun. The Chairman warmly welcomed all APC members and leaders from Aga/Ijomu.

Mr. Abiodun shared the latest party updates, announcing that the APC will commence new membership registration nationwide. He explained that the old membership cards are outdated and that new registrations will require a National Identity Number (NIN) and Permanent Voter's Card (PVC), with the process taking place online.

Additionally, Mr. Abiodun informed new APC members in Aga/Ijomu who haven't voted in the area before that there will be an opportunity for voter registration by the end of the first quarter. He listed all 50 polling units in the ward, from 001 Pashoku/Ojogbe.

Hon. Ladega was also given the opportunity to address the meeting before heading to other wards in Ikorodu Central.


Leader Alhaji Gafaar addressed leaders and party members, emphasizing a crucial point to Chairmanship and Councilor contestants: only one person will emerge victorious for the single available seat. While contestants are encouraged to seek support, Alhaji Gafaar reminded them to remain aware of the ultimate outcome.

Hon. Adebowale Ajayi, the current council leader of Ikorodu Local Government, has announced his intention to run for the chairman position in the upcoming local government election. With his experience as a two-term councilor representing Aga/Ijomu Ward E and Chairman of the Councilor Forum, Ikorodu Division, he's confident that he deserves the opportunity to lead the local government.

Ajayi expressed his gratitude to the leaders and APC members in Aga/Ijomu for their unwavering support, which has enabled him to serve the community effectively. He highlighted his achievements, including various empowerment programs, infrastructure projects, and motions/bills he's sponsored that have become laws.

As council leader, Ajayi has demonstrated his leadership skills and dedication to the community. His aspirations align with his proven track record, and he's eager to take on the challenge of leading Ikorodu Local Government. However, he acknowledges that is the decision ultimately lies with the party and leaders, and he's hopeful that they will grant him the opportunity.


Prince Oyefusi expressed his gratitude to the leaders and members for their support. He shared his extensive political background, which began with his role as a member of the Sole Administrator under the leadership of Hon. Wasiu Adesina. Prince Oyefusi also highlighted his experience working in various capacities, including his journey as a councilor aspirant, although the party ultimately decided otherwise, leading to his appointment as a Special Adviser on Revenue Collection and Budget Planning to Ikorodu Local government 




Hon. Idowu Alli greeted all the leaders and members of the party. In his address, Hon. Ali shared his origin and political journey, highlighting his experience in politics since a tender age. He mentioned that he had contested for the position of Councilor in Aga Ijomu ward E, but the party had declined, saying it was not his time. Despite this, he accepted the party's decision and moved on.

Hon. Alli, an expert in energy management shared his plans for the community. He promised to provide a parking garage facility for transporters, a suitable location for marketers, and a functional Skill Acquisition Center in Aga, which would provide job opportunities for the youth.

He emphasized that it was time for Aga Ijomu to produce the next chairman, and among the aspirants, he believed his the best candidate. If given the opportunity to become the next chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Alli promised to utilize his expertise to improve electricity supply in Ikorodu Central harnessing the Electricity act 2024 which gives States and Local Government to generate and distribute electricity energy. 

As a gesture of goodwill, Hon. Ali donated 10 free JAMB forms to the ward and promised to pay the 100-level school fees for the best performer.


Mrs. Bisi Awolesi has officially declared her intention to run for the Councilor position in the upcoming election. In her address to the leaders and party members, she shared her long-term mission and vision for the community, marking an exciting development in the local political landscape. 


Mr. Adeoye Sunday, a councillor aspirant, has greeted leaders and party members, emphasizing his commitment to the party's progress. He declared his intention to contest for the Councilor position in the upcoming local government election, demonstrating his dedication to serving the community. 


Mr. Onafowokan Oluwatobi Joseph announced his candidacy for the Councilor position in the upcoming local government election, seeking support from the people of Aga Ijomu. As a native of Aga Ijomu, Mr. Tobi expressed his deep understanding of the community's needs and concerns. His decision to run for public office demonstrates his commitment to serving the community and making a positive impact.

Mr. Ebuoso greeted the leaders and party members, declaring his intention to run for the Councilor position in Aga Ijomu. He emphasized his past commitment to the party's work during election time and is now seeking support from them.


Mr Abbey Balogun greetings to you all leaders and party members. Today, I stand before you to reiterate my interest in the Councilorship position, a role I have aspired to in the past. When I was previously asked to step down, I accepted the decision with good faith and continued to serve our community and party with my means and influence.

My past experiences have equipped me with valuable insight and skills which I believe would enable me effectively serve our community as Councilor. I have over the periods of my past aspirations and now become a better, more informed and competent person and I have established myself as a grassroot mobiliser for our great party. 

I am eager to contribute to the growth and development of our community, and I kindly request your support in this endeavor.

Mr. Kazeem Adewale Oduloye has officially declared his candidacy for the Councillorship position in Aga Ijomu, drawing from his past experience as a two-time Councilor contestant in 2017 and 2021. In the area. He urged leaders and party members to support his bid, highlighting his commitment to serving the community.

Mrs. Omolaja Afusat, an aspiring councilor, greeted leaders and party members, declaring her intention to run for the Councilor position at Aga Ijomu. She humbly requested their support in her political endeavor. This marks an exciting development in the local political landscape, as Mrs. Afusat seeks to make a meaningful impact in her community.

Mr. Ebuoso greeted the leaders and party members, declaring his intention to run for the Councilor position in Aga Ijomu. He emphasized his past commitment to the party's work during election time and is now seeking support from them.

 Latifat Egbetokun, the party secretary, greeted leaders and party members, declaring her intention to run for Councilor. She urged women to support her, emphasizing that "it's our time to run." This announcement marks an exciting development in the local political landscape, as Egbetokun seeks to make a meaningful impact in her community. Her call to action, encouraging women to support her candidacy, highlights the importance of gender representation and empowerment in politics.

Hon. Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, greeted all leaders and party members. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the people's needs and happiness, stating that this is the right time to bring joy to the community. He urged all APC contestants to focus on actions that will genuinely benefit the people, advising them to prioritize the people's happiness above all else.

Former Commissioner of Lagos State, Hon. Lanre announced that it's time to kick off party activities, emphasizing the importance of party members and the community having a great time. This statement suggests that the party is gearing up for exciting events and initiatives that will bring people together and foster a sense of community.

To make the most of this opportunity, party members can engage in various fun activities that promote bonding and camaraderie. 

By focusing on enjoyment and community engagement, the party can build stronger relationships with its members and the people, ultimately leading to a more harmonious and supportive community.

Hon. Lateef Afinni, Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government, addressed leaders and party members, emphasizing the importance of character over financial influence in politics. He quoted a former Deputy Governor and Baba Basorun Olorunfunmi, stating that "money is not the attribute to collect a party ticket, but your behavior, relationship with people, and contribution to the party.

Afinni also clarified that no leader has asked for money, but you choose to give to party members willingly.



 APC Ward E meeting was a star-studded event, with numerous prominent leaders in attendance. The notable guests included:- Honorable Members: Hon. Lanre, Hon. R I Jinado, Hon. Nurudeen Agbaje, Hon. Ajayi Adebowale, Hon. Oyefusi, and Hon. Alimi Owolabi.
